Good afternoon all! It's a mix of sunshine and showers here, but quite a few degrees warmer...and I just saw that there are daffodils about to open on some verges while I was out with Billy!
I went into town yesterday to get the fresh fruit and veg from the greengrocers and ended up coming home laden down with plants. Trays of 6 lovely strong pansies were £1 each or 3 trays for £2 - at the garden centre last weekend they were £1.99 a tray. I picked up some lovely primulas too which were 2 for £1. The pots in the garden look much more cheery now and it's lovely to look out and see some colour. I did the large pot by the front door too.
John's gone to Shropshire, to the Long Mynd area, with some cycling friends today. It's not far though so he should be home mid-afternoon. They arranged it for a few weeks ago but were snowed off, the forecast looked a bit dodgy for today and it wasn't until last night that they decided it'd be okay to go. He's hardly done any cycling since Christmas, even when the snow has thawed the trails have been too icy to be safe.
Di, our local Lidl has closed! Quite a surprise when people are supposedly turning to budget supermarkets. It's always looked quite dismal and tatty in there though whereas Aldi is bright and clean. Thankfully there's one close to where John works so he now has the joy of going in his lunch hour and picking up my coffee pods and a few bits that Mom and Dad like from there
Have a good day everyone!
