What has been fermenting away quite happily in said kit bag for the past 2 days?

In this heat?

2 huge slices of chocolate cake given to him Tuesday morning by his friend.

Yuk!!

hopefully it was in some sort of container and not just wrapped in a serviette or something - that would be rather messy

Wrapped (and I use the term loosely) in clingfilm.

Kit bag has now been turned inside out and jet washed!

There's no excuse is there? Two lovely scrumptious chocolatey gooey tasty delicious slices of chocolate cake have gone to waste! I'd have legged it home thinking "Chocolate cake....I've got chocolate cake". How can you forget that it's in your bag?
