Morning Ally, Saundra and everyone

Sunny again, but still blasted cold at night. Frost again

Thinking of Cruiser today xx

Ironing this morning, Grumpy has to get the ironing board out and put it away  which means it stays in the lounge for most of the day, as he just walks around it :cute: :cute: And I have some hemming to do. Which means he'll no doubt have one leg longer than the other    Only work trousers, so not so bad ;)

I have one more book I've not read, then it's back to begging and borrowing books again  Or re-reading some I've not read for a while. Might tdo the Harry Potter one's again, not read them for a few years.

Glad E is doing so well Jen, you both must be so relieved x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning everyone

Thoughts for Cruiser today (((hugs)))
Oh, Ally - Thai curry sounds delicious; do you make it with chicken or beef or prawns?
Jan, remind me why you don't have a kindle.... I remember there was a reason but can't remember what it was (sorry) But that would make your book reading so much easier
Saundra, hope Iceland is on time and brings everything.

Dull and overcast today; so different to yesterday. Had a vet appointment this morning and back home to another usual / usual. More painting of doors, baking banana bread and general pootling in between work.

Have a lovely day everyone. xx

Two reasons, Ria. I much prefer to actually hold a book and as we don't have an English bank account, all the books would have to come in Portuguese. I can't read as well as Grumpy and don't want to addle my brain any more than it is.

Had to do the ironing humming and dinging to the radio. We've lost all English channels  Sergio is coming up sometime today to sort us out. Then had to ring Chris, to bring our ladder back, as he can't jump that high

Morning all, it is dull and chilly here again. I have to catch up on some of the housework I have been neglecting while we’ve been backwards and forwards to Miss Osc’s house. I also have to go to the chemist, plus buy some birthday cards - actually they have some nice cards in the chemist so might get them there.

Oooh! The doorbell rang and it was UPS with a delivery of flowers, all beautifully packed in a box, from my sister. Daffs and tulips, in a tie up with a flower farm for Daffodil Day, and a donation from the cost goes to the Irish Cancer Society, which lost out hugely on last year’s Daffodil day.

Thinking of Cruiser on this very difficult day for him.

Good afternoon all.
I hope today goes as well as it can for Cruiser.
It is good that E is doing well.
We have been to Sainsbury's and need to pay a bill this afternoon.
And that's about it!
Salmon for tea tonight, I have no idea if there's anything decent on the TV.
Have a good day all.

Jan...visions of you ding-ding-dinging to the radio.

As a lifelong book fan, and someone who has around 600, I never thought I'd like a kindle.

But Don bought me a tablet and it had the kindle app on it...it's been the best thing!!

I order books on it and pay in euros.

I've got about 50 waiting to be read and haven't paid more that 2Є for any book.

Indeed, I've bought numerous murder/mystery 'box sets' for less than a euro. :o

I will always love the 'feel' of a book and will continue to buy them, but for sheer convenience and choice living over here, it's kindle all the way. :cute: :cute:
