Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 05 Jan 2021, 07:55

Morning everyone

Cold and frosty start and although sun is forecast, I'm not holding my breath, as we had rain yesterday. It's fore cast for tomorrow and the rest of the week.

Off down to the Algarve this morning, fully sanitized, masked, for the shopping first and then finding out what's going on at the hospital. Jan is taking me down, and I'm buying her lunch, as a thank you.

Have to drop off a couple of things for Chris and Lucy, I have a small shopping list from them

Hope the results are good today Kaz xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Results are in, I've updated my post! Morning all :)

Jan good luck at the hospital! (((((x)))))

Morning Saundra xxx

We all feel fine, it must have been a 48hr thing that we've had. So Becky's gone to work, apparently the phones were ringing off the hook already when she rang to tell them she was ok! I'm allowed out again, so can go and see D. I'll go via the Co-op as we need bread and milk. It's such a relief to get those results back that I might just skip there ;)

Take care everyone :) xxxx

Morning all, it’s fairly miserable out there with bright spots in between the showers. I’ll head out for a walk shortly, then see if I feel like doing any of the things that need doing, or maybe I just fancy reading or knitting ;) By the way, if you are looking for a nice film, yesterday we watched A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood and loved it. The always great Tom Hanks and the lovely Matthew Rhys.

Kaz, so pleased at your news!

Morning all. I’m having an incredibly lazy day.

I didn’t get up until 10.30 - lay in bed reading my book, bliss. And now I’m sat watching tv and doing my crochet.

I’m taking lucy to work later and will take Millie out at the same time. Snd then home for more tv and crochet.

Hello all..... not sure where this day has gone, but here we are at 1pm already.

Jan, hope today went (is going) well?

Ongoing little IT niggles kept me busy first thing this morning; then off to Sainsbury's to get some bits for my neighbour and myself. Then back home and almost straight out again as a friend was disposing of an old teak garden bench and wanted to know if I could use it at the allotment. Her other half is a builder and had emptied the van today as he needed to collect a few things so kindly offered to drop off the bench for me; so I had to dash over to the allotment to show them where to put it.

Now general just keeping an eye on emails and doing a few bits and bobs in the house. And a tidy of the outhouse so I can get all the Christmas decorations packed away and stored where they should be tomorrow

Have a lovely rest of day everyone x

Afternoon all :D

Heavy rain overnight, dull and overcast now

Good luck at the hospital Jan xx

My list of jobs today includes getting all the storage boxes out into the garage and bringing in the wreath and basket hanging out the front. Whether I get round to much else is debatable

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny here and finally the snow is thawing.

I’ve walked Bill, changed the beds, cleaned the bathrooms and waited for a Yodel delivery of a cheese plant. I’m now wondering if our bins will be emptied. The household one was due to be emptied last Tuesday but the snow put a stop to that and whereas the neighbouring local council had the same problem and played catch up over the rest of the week, our council just decided not to bother. However, they already posted on Facebook yesterday that they’re short staffed this week so might not be able to empty the household bins on the usual day. They said that they’re managing okay with recycling bins although ours is usually emptied first thing and it’s not been done yet.

Osc, we watched that a while ago and really enjoyed it.

Good luck Jan!

Take care, all xx

It was our blue bin last week so instead of Thursday it was Saturday so that was ok
If a load of boxes all ready to go in the empty bin such a shame I advertised on our local chat page but nobody wanted them
We are lucky tho we put all recycled in same bin except food wast but I put that in green bin secretly

Kaz THRILLED at your news!! Been quite concerned about you xxx

Despite 'lockdown' I am at work. :? We are classed as essential so no lockdown here - booohissbooo!!! It's been quite a busy day too, despite no clinic as I've had to rearrange the diary tomorrow a fair bit, couple of older clients cancelling as they have to shield again and so on...it's all good though. This new shop may be the bees knees to look at but it's bl**dy freezing!!!! I am currently wearing a vest top, a polo neck AND a chunky cardi (thermal tights and a stretchy skirt too!!) and I brought a hot water bottle with me this morning as I just could NOT get warm!!! I'm not too bad now, the three heaters on the wall are all on high as well as an oil heater right under my desk!! It's not TOO bad this afternoon!!

Osc I've seen that film somewhere, was it on Prime? We watched Castaway the other night, TH is always a good bet!!

Good luck all taking your decs down!

Deb I wish I had a lazy morning like that, as you say, bliss!!
