Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 03 Dec 2020, 06:05

Good morning.

Forecast for a pleasant 20 degrees.

Usual work hours interspersed with me putting the tree up in our academy's big window. Wouldn't normally put it up until next Tuesday but there's a holiday on the 6th and 8th which means a bridge on the Monday. Which means after tomorrow I'm off work till next Thursday...then back a week and that's us till Jan 7th.
Where has this first term gone??!! ;)

Home to Masterchef and I've been told "something chickeny and spiceny" for dinner. That'll do for me.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny but cold morning. Bit misty in the valleys too. Very pretty.

Off to Ourique this morning, Nelson's for stuff for the pool, Alentejana for some goodies, then dentist   post office to top up my phone and gets some stamps and post Christmas cards and finally the joy that is Pingo  Chemist too.

Coffee on the way back and check the post and then do nowt, I think, will be worn out by then :o

We'v got some posh masks from the council, vented nd washable, so I'll wear that today.

Have a good day everyone ,whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

Forecast for a not so pleasant 4 degrees with rain here -
Ally, never mind the term, to me the whole year has just whizzed by. But just checking your dates - 6th is a Sunday, so 8th is a Tuesday; so bridge on Monday which means you're back on Wednesday?
Jan, good on your government to be giving everyone decent masks.

A usual work day morning for me, but then being cheeky and meeting Nadine for a bit of shopping and a bite to eat - will have my laptop with me so can set up office wherever :D

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, doesn’t look too bad out there, but the current temperature is 2 degrees :D  Just about to tidy up, then I have some buns to ice, Michael and Kellie will decorate our tree and officially turn on all our Christmas lights, so homemade buns for a treat and we are both wearing Christmas jumpers :x The supermarket delivery is due this morning too. So busy busy!

Morning all :)

Tipping down here

Jan good luck at the dentist, well done your government issuing masks.
Saundra how annoying about your credit card, hope you get it sorted soon. Have a nice time with Jonathan and Kerri.

Got rather wet getting the bins in this morning, I was in lounge wear (a posh way of saying pyjamas lol) with boots plus a raincoat with hood up over my rollers. Not a pretty look, must have given the neighbours a good laugh

I didn't get the cards done yesterday so that's today's job, the Oz ones need to be posted tomorrow at the latest. The only other excitement is a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon. Got a casserole in the slow cooker so dinner's taken care of.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all. We have been to get a Christmas wreath for the door and a paper, then into Pontefract for a bit of shopping.
At 2.30 Mrsc is going to the hairdressers for a cut and colour.
That apart we are waiting for a deliver.
Oops, as I speak we've had a delivery - the one which was supposed to be coming on Saturday!
Grey and 'orrible here, as it seems to be all over the UK. None too warm either.
So it's on with the central heating, a cuppa and a recorded Inspector Morse!
Saundra, I hope your credit card gets sorted, what a time of year to have problems with it!
Have a good day all.

Warmed up nicely now 8-)

Dentist was fine, didn't have to pay, even for all the work last week :D queues for the post office were halfway down the road, so I carried straight on  and Pingo was busy too

Now going to make a curry and sort something out for tonight.

Grumpy is off scraping paint off the pool wall, ready to be painted.

It's getting a lot colder from tomorrow, down to 5C at night, but as we live in a hot country, we don't get the fuel allowance any more  and rain is forecast too. Already snowing further up north

Hope you get the cards sorted Saundra x
