Going to hospital.

Postby Workingman » 23 Nov 2020, 14:17

Just had a phone call from the hospital to confirm that my op will be some time tomorrow after 8 am, though there is no fixed time. I will be going in later this evening to allow for the prep to be done early doors on Tuesday so I will be nil-by-mouth after supper - I had best get a good meal down me before I go. It has all been a bit will it / won't it because of you know what.

All I know about the post op is that I am to bed rest for 24 hrs and not to drive or operate machinery - a bit difficult from bed, but I know what they mean. Whether that will mean an overnight stay is unclear at the moment. It will be a keyhole job so I could be a bit sore for a while after and I suppose that could be the deciding factor.

I will definitely see you all again on Thursday.
