Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 18 Oct 2020, 05:28

Good morning.

Beautifully warm and sunny.

The boys came over Friday evening and joined the gang for drinks and tapas. :D

They were here all day yesterday, took us out to lunch then we came home and played board games on the terrace which was hilarious.

I'm off for a walk shortly and will have a swim mid morning.

Reading and chilling out for the rest of the day.

A chicken will be roasted for dinner with salad and spicy wedges. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely sky this morning, wish I could take a picture and carry it with me, makes me smile :D Lines of blue, white, pink and grey 8-)

Washing day here. We're in for a wet week :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: so will get all the washing done and dried today. Means ironing later in the week though  :cute:

I'll attack a few more of those clumps of grass and we'll be having a bbq later.

Oh, and we have a new water outlet - a proper standpipe - not just a hole in a pipe  I brought some stones up from the filed and we put gravel around it. The nw hosepipe should be fitted later. Shame we're not going to use it for a week or so, but still. It's there ;)

Hope our patient is well on the mend now x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and dry today.

Your day sounds ideal Ally.
Hope you're recovering from your fall Cruiser.

I took advantage of it being dry yesterday and got out in the garden to do some pruning ready for the winter. Suffering for it today, my ankle is positively singing :o Still need to do the front, but that will have to wait, too sore to do more today.
E's doing really well, his confidence is improving day by day and he's now managing to get to/from the loo on his own with the help of his walker and even has a little walk round the dining room table each time. Most important, he's much more himself which is lovely to see. He's still absolutely pooped by the end of the day so still going to bed a bit early, not a problem, he's sleeping through so it's obviously what he needs.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Jen, that's good to hear 8-)

It was an early start here, just after 7am we woke to B making awful retching noises in the bathroom - she was taking the Covid test she volunteered for, apparently it's not pleasant :? Anyway, that was done and the courier picked it up this morning. Mick and I went out to get the papers and have a coffee. We popped in to see D on the way back - she's just getting over a chest infection and not feeling brilliant :( Home to Inspector Montalbano on the iPlayer, and lamb chops for a late lunch cum very early dinner. I was going to finish off my winter planting, but feel a bit yuck this afternoon, like I'm getting a cold. Definitely not the dreaded lurgy, as my temperature is completely normal.....

Have a good evening everyone :) xxx

Evening all, it was a gorgeous morning, just perfect for our Great Pink Run, which we walked in two hours. Then Miss Osc and family and ourselves went for lunch outdoors in a local pub/restaurant (not next door). It clouded over and got quite chilly as the afternoon went on, the heating is on now. I’m quite tired as I didn’t sleep very well last night. Another early start tomorrow as I have my six month checkup with the consultant. Seven months today since my surgery! Glad to hear E is doing well, Jen.
