Morning everyone

Hopefully the day has strted as it means to go on - the sun is out, sky is blue and the rain clouds have gone somewhere else!!

Looks horrendous over there, what with the drifting snow and the biting wind. Hope you all keep warm and safe.

We're off to the car boot later, up early to watch the grand prix - on Spanish tele - then I'll be taking bags of books, a few clothes, recipe books and a blender up to the charity stall there.

Have as good a day as you can xx

Morning Ton
Hope the sun stays
Morning everyone, hope the snow melts.

I've eaten far too much cake this weekend. Far far far too much. Currently eating homemade doughnuts made by sil for my birthday, Groan, but they are so nice I can't stop. Double groan. And someone must have put my jeans through the hot wash, as they just aren't fitting at the moment, I'm sure that all this cake has nothing to do with it.

Another lovely day here today, but you can definitely feel that the sun isn't as hot, and if suddenly noticed that it is getting darker earlier and bright later. I think our daylight savings ends next weekend.

Have a good Sunday, whever you are, and whatever you do...

Morning all :)
Absolutely f-f-f-freezing here with an arctic wind but no snow so far, and won't get anything like the horrendous amounts elsewhere.
Weka enjoy your cakes, you spend all your time running around it will come off just as fast :)
Ton glad to hear your weather has improved and you can get out and enjoy the day :)
Glad you've got some sunshine to look at too Saundra :)
No plans here, I shall be going out for some shopping at some point, and no doubt making yet more soup!
Going along to our neighbour this evening, we couldn't go when she had her 91st birthday as Minnie was too poorly so we have to help her drink her Champagne ;)
Take care out there everyone
Di

Morning everyone :) No snow here either, but yet another wet, dull freezing cold day  I hope those who do have the snow stay warm and snug - and that those with sun enjoy it!! :D :)

Di have a lovely evening - your neighbour sounds lovely :D

A quiet day here today I think, it's been a hectic week.

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Bitterley cold wind here. The sun keeps trying to shine but still grey clouds about. Most of the snow has melted but am keeping the CH on again.

We've had more snow overnight and when I opened the door to let Millie out this morning we couldn't get out! The snow had drifted to half way up the door. Most of it fell in but I had to don boots and coat to clamber over the rest of it and dig us out

I won't be venturing out anywhere today - it is blowing an absolute gale and is still snowing. We are running low on milk and bread but have enough to last us today. The girls will have to have cheese and crackers for their school lunch tomorrow.

Roast lamb for dinner today - though I have very few vegetables to go with it. I have never felt so unprepared for the bad weather - it is because we went away on Wednesday and at that point there was no indication of how much snow we were going to get. And Friday was a race against the snow to get home so no stopping at the shops on the way.

Good morning all, it's grey and extremely cold here with a very strong easterly wind providing considerable wind chill - although it is dry. Found it hard to get out of the nice warm cosy bed this morning. We are going to Carlow for a competition today, it would be too easy to stay at home in the heat (nice though!). Our friends are competing and we like to support them when we can, then we usually go for a meal afterwards which is always fun. It's about a 1½ hour drive, so I have better get myself showered, dressed and on the road. Have a good day everyone, and stay warm! :)

Crikey Debih that sounds bad!!!! I guess you don't have the flour or baking soda in for soda bread then? I know you make that sometimes...........Hope it eases off soon for you all xxx

We've decided to go to the Harvester for lunch - with all of yesterday's excitement I forgot to get a chicken out of the garage freezer. We do have chops or chicken pieces I could defrost in the microwave I suppose but the lure of some nice spitroast chicken and all the salad I can eat has been too much :D  Think I'll ring D and ask is she wants to come as well 8-)

Osc have a safe journey, and I'm sure once there you'll have a great time :) xx

Change of plan - we keep getting very black clouds and have just had a spinkling of rain, so Grumpy won't go

I've spoken to Bente, as she's near where the car boot is and she said that it might rain - so that's decided him

So now got the ironing to do :(

Berlimey Debih, that sounds pretty bad. Keep warm. Have a vodka, that'll warm you up :D
