We've just got our half yearly council tax bill

And it's gone down

By about 80 euros for the year

That's a lot of chicken and chips

Not often you get good news like that is it?

When I checked our online statement last month our mortgage payment was less. I knew our insurances on it were up for renewal, having had a letter the previous month, and I immediately thought that maybe payment hadn't been taken for it (it's added onto the mortgage). I dug out the letter and very surprisingly it said that they'd reviewed insurance costs and had been able to reduce our payment, whilst still offering the same cover, by £23 per month.
