Home Bargains UPDATE

Postby Workingman » 20 Jul 2018, 14:53

If you have one locally and are in the market for some decent kitchen knives they have some Titanium ones by Core. The pack of three has a Sabatier style chef's knife, utility knife and paring knife for £3.99 or if you like the Japanese style knives they come in a pack of two for £2.99.

My ancient Richardson of Sheffield carbon steel knives have just been retired.

HB Strikes again!

A note taped to the freezer said Bird's Eye fish. Dated July. 49p.

And there inside were packets of B.E. battered haddock fillets, so I got two.

I like to portion out things like that in zipper bags so that they can sit in nooks and crannies, so once I got home I went to empty them out thinking four fillets for under a quid ain't bad - there were SIX fillets in each box.

Twelve fillets for under a quid is more than ain't bad, it's a bargain of all bargains! :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Guess what's for tea with mushy peas?

Wowee, that is a bargain! :Hi:

I do the same with boxes of fish portions, they fit in nicely around the bigger stuff ;)
