Skipping!!

As a child I spent hours skipping with my friends..I loved it. :D

As I'm a bit pushed for time this morning I didn't go for a run but decided to do some 'jump rope' skipping which is very fast and like what a boxer does for training. :geek:

I done 6 minutes and am sweating more than when I do a 7km run!!

It's blooming hard!

We used to sing along and skip at the same time..ok, it was a tad gentler than the fierce skipping I've just done.
But yes, we skipped for hours and hours no problem. :o

Do you see many children skipping where you are Kaz?

We see the little girls here doing it..and the other night we passed a group of boys and girls playing hopscotch. :D :D

Haven't seen girls skipping for years!

The juinor school had a Hopscotch painted on the playground - they weren't allowed to slide a stone along to the squares like we used to though, Joe said they had to use a ball

health/safety jo
used to love skipping as a child
with a huge length of rope that we could hardly lift
trying to see how many of use could skip at the same time
and getting a new skiping rope with handles as a present magic

L is skipping mad. It seems to be the "in" thing at her primary school at the minute.

Did you chant the songs whilst you skipped Ally? "When Suzie was a baby, a baby Suzie was................."

You know - the only bit I remember of that rhyme is the teenager bit!!! "She said ooh, ahh, I've lost my bra, I've left my knickers in my boyfriends car".

Shows the level my mind is set at doesn't it.
