Well at last there is progress! The builders are starting on the Wet Room on the 29th this month.
We are having to pay £6200 and the rest will be met by the council.
My son reckons it is a fair price as his new bathroom cost a lot more than that.
We have chosen grey tiles with grey, beige and brown fancy tiles half way down.
A chrome towel rail, grey blind and non slip floor covering in darker grey mottled.
It should look nice and can brighten it up with accessories.
It hurts to have to pay that amount when they said we should get a grant but we really
need a shower to make it easier for Don (and myself)
The lady from the council was very good and has had a look around to see if they can
alter anything to make it better for Don to get around. She says she will definitely get the
front door entrance lowered and also the doorway to the conservatory.
That will all be done free of charge as having paid this money anything else will be free so
that it good. I will have a good look round to see what else needs doing
It will take about 10 days and they will give us an elsan toilet for daytime but replace the loo
every night.
