We haven't done one of these kind of threads for ages :)
Probably all of us refer to our mothers at times, it occurred to me today none of them have names!

Mine was Irene; her dad died when she was 15, but she always remembered him singing Goodnight Irene to her :)

My mum's name is Sylvia. :D

If I'd had a girl I would've called her Erin Sylvie. :cute:

My mum was named after the lady in the opposite bed who my nan befriended, Daphne. She hated it and was always always known by her middle name Jean. When she died, several people said they had never known her real name was Daphne

Mum was Irish and her Christian name was Margaret, but everyone called her Peg or Peggy.

Her sisters, my aunts, were Tess (Theresa), Bell(e) (Isobel), Kate (Caitlin) and Reen (Eireen).

My mum's given names were Heather Alice, but she hated Heather and everyone called her Alice, or Al. She even changed it officially!

I think Heather is a pretty name :)

Mine had a middle name which she loathed and tried to hide.
I only know it because she knew I could keep a secret, and she was right ;)
