Was out before 7am for a run to beat the heat.

Uber excited as I'm going to the airport later to pick up my cousin Alan who is flying in from Utah.

I'll be AWOL now for a few days.

An exciting day over here - I have a blood and wee test this morning - well, better than having it later in the week - probably be more alcohol than blood - then popping into Pingo for a few bits and bobs. Back to finish the floor cleaning, Grumpy is going to vacuum the pool and then the inside of the car and then clean the outside. The dust gets everywhere

Then this afternoon, we're popping down to Fuzeta to see some friends, onto Aldi, Lidl and then ta da - Faro Airport to collect our special guest

Well it's pouring here, the weather is more than making up for the extremely dry April Still, I have to go out in it, to see my client then probably meeting B in town afterwards. I have to come through town on the bus anyway to get home. Maybe zumba tonight, will see

Early start to the day to get everything set up for the cat sitter - even though she's done this countless times and I know they'll be totally fine I still always go OTT with the prep

Good morning all, it's a very rainy one here. Suffice to say, Billy hasn't been for a walk. It was a hard enough job getting him to go out into the garden earlier

John's gone to Sunderland for work, he'll be back tomorrow night. I cadged a lift with him as he had to pick up a colleague who lives right by Morrisons and that's the only place that sells my PG Tips mint tea bags so I went and stocked up. Joe's in college this morning and I'm now waiting for an Amazon delivery. For some obscure reason Joe decided last night that he needed a new neck warmer to wear at the match on Sunday so that's being delivered some time today.

And what a dismal morning it is here. It hasn't stopped raining all morning,

You won't be hearing from me for a few days, as we are off on a holiday to Hayling Island.

Floor now done, car done, pool done, now having a rather late breakfast

We're leaving here about 2.45 for a steady run down to Fuzeta

We'll make sure we're at the airport in plenty of time - about 5 minutes before she lands
