Just reading that the Canadians are trying to recall bottles of gin because it is too strong - nearly twice as strong as it should be! :o

It is actually 77% alcohol by volume instead of the still strong 40% normally sold. It earlier had to do the same for a batch of vodka that was 81%!
:shock: :shock: :shock:

Apparently the return of already sold bottles was not the success they had hoped for. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Why don't these mistakes ever happen round these parts? ;)

I had to go look.....

Apparently there is no commercial plantation for the fruits so most of it is the "home brew" of choice with farmers. :D

There is a bottled product with an abv of 48% but nobody knows what the home brew comes out at. To the English is is known as "firewater" so go fugure.
