Duke of Edinburgh retires.

Postby Workingman » 04 May 2017, 11:34

Even though I am not a big fan of the monarchy I have to admire Philip and Elizabeth.

The man has given nearly eighty years service to his adopted country through his time in the Royal Navy (WWII) and his marriage to the then Princess Elizabeth.

The old guy more than deserves a happy and peaceful retirement.

A toast and best wishes to you, Philip.

A wonderful man who has supported the Queen through thick and thin, and she obviously still loves him very much. He has more than earned his retirement.

I don't blame him he deserves his retirement
I think the queen should join him and share the rest of there time together but that's just my option I love the royal family

Absolutely! At 95 years of age his retirement is overdue, and well deserved!

There is no doubt at all that he has earned a restful retirement.
Not many people continue to be committed to their jobs into their nineties.

I think we should all be very grateful that both he, and the Queen, have been so devoted to their jobs.

It's going to be a lot duller without him around!

At the end of the day, whatever one thinks about the Royalty, it can't be denied he has done a absolutely sterling job.
