Our old house is back on the market - for €130,000 more than we got I wish them luck with that, nothing has been done to it and work is needed which was beginning to be needed three years ago and wasn't done. The cheeky beggar of an estate agent has used our photos

Blimey Osc, how have prices in general done in that time? - must say, three years is a shock!

I suppose if nothing's been done, he thought no point taking new pictures, though viewers will be confused by the furniture

I know! The couple of times I have called there for post, it has been in a right mess - the young woman who was renting it has two rather - er - active children. So far as I am aware, the garden has been quite neglected too, unlike in the photos.

That does seem excessive! Houses in our old road in Egham have gone up almost that much, but that's in eight years, and a very expensive area. Sounds like they are chancing their arm!

That's a big increase!

Rosie, we have friends down by your harbour tonight. They've just checked in on Facebook and posted pics. It's a fella John knows from cycling and his wife and little girl. His wife's really lovely, can't warm to him though. We all feel sorry for the little one, she's only about five and most weekends from Spring until Autumn are spent in a camper van visiting stately homes. She's spent the last week seeing the beautiful views around Ireland. They never seem to let her be a child and do things that children enjoy with her.
Anyway, he's called it a "cheeky stopover" so I reckon they've just parked up in the town for the night rather than going to a campsite or whatever.

Wow Jo what a coincidence. Sadly it has been a dreary day with drizzle and some rain, hopefully it is brighter before they leave tomorrow. We see quite a few caravans and camper vans on one of the piers especially over fine weekends. I hope they tried one of the restaurants, and there is a children's' playground too, plus seals swimming around in the harbour.

That's happening here a lot at the moment. Here, you sell a house, and roughly 6 weeks later, it's sold. i think what the UK calls exchange. We call it the settlement date. At the moment, it's not unheard of for the house to resell 3 times prior to settlement date!! and the ones that have hit the paper sell for 100-300k more than the original owners thought they were selling it for. and this is all happening prior to the settlement date. There have been a few cases where the real estate agents have been asked "please explain" or been censored by their own, but its not unheard of here at the moment. the market has been nuts for the last few years. Too much immigration, and not enough new builds, not that the government will own up to it.
