Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 15 Apr 2017, 06:42

Good morning.

A hot day forecast. 8-) 8-)

Having coffee then a swim then getting ready to go into Malaga with Don. :D :D

Retail therapy is needed and we'll have lunch at our favourite chiringuito. :D :D

There's also Easter processions to watch too. :D

Might stay in again tonight - it was such a treat to do so last night.

Have a great day everyone.

A bit dull and miserable at the moment but might improve later.
Got to take Don to hospital later as he has to have a Heart Ultrasound Scan
to see why his heart is`nt functioning as well as it should.
It is only a 20 min drive and while he is there i
can do the shopping at the
new M&S they have just opened on the same site (also Aldi and Home Bargains)

Morning everyone

Grey here  but warm 8-)

Next door - the not so nice one's - have had to move their dogs and donkey away from the house. Obviously their paying guests are not happy about dogs barking all night as well as Johnny the donkey making the awful racket that he does

Hope all goes well at the hospital Lissie x

Gentle pootling today as my back was hurting yesterday and we'll have the last bonfire before the ban starts.

Will pop down to the bar later and it's Saturday, so it's chicken curry for dinner

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

Enjoy the retail therapy Ally and the lunch.
Lisse, rather dull here as well - meant to warm up a bit, but i'm not holding out much hope. I need to get going in the garden so will be putting on another layer I think.
Good luck with Don's hospital appointment - hope you get some answers x
Saundra, enjoy your shopping as well
Jan, glad the dogs and donkey have been moved away from the house, hopefully you'll get a bit more quiet now as well. I do feel for the animals; the only time I've ever known dogs to constantly bark is when they haven't been very happy.

I was going to do a whole chicken in the slow cooker today, but it won't fit. I had a larger (cheap) slow cooker but a friend gave me a proper crock pot so I gave mine to my neighbour who loves using it. But as time has gone by the crockpot is just turning out to be too small; when I cook I like to make enough to freeze a few portions; but it doesn't quite work with the small crock pot. So I think I'll be re-investing in a larger one.

About to get into the garden - have a good day everyone x

Morning all, sun and cloud here. We plan on popping up to Miss Osc's as the DIY fairy wants to put a light in their shed. We also need to buy some fish for Miss Osc's dinner tomorrow. Just about to hang out washing and I'll give the house a clean up ahead of tomorrow's family day. Have a good day everyone :)

These two are Rafeiros, (sorry, rubbish spelling) Alentejo guard dogs. They guard your sheep etc at night and sleep during the day, when you're on guard. That's the theory, anyway. Sadly, our not so nice neighbour keeps these two in a pen    All these dogs bark at night, to let you know when there is a predator around - or in our case, a cat ;)

When I said that there were supposed to be guarding his chickens, ducks, goats etc, he told me that they attack and kill them, so he has to keep them locked up. He then walks them on a lead    :cute: :cute:

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck with Don's appointment lissie xx

We took the bus down to the harbour yesterday, it was a lovely day. Decided to stop for lunch and then treated ourselves to ice cream at Sorbetto, yummy. Should really get out today, but I'm still very sore so will take it easy, just the usual washing etc to do.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon :)
Dull here today, with a chilly wind. Hoping it dries the washing I forgot to do yesterday - trying to get the most wintery stuff done so it can go out of the way.

Have a lovely time in Malaga Ally, especially at the chirringuito :)
Good luck with the scan Lissie x
Meriad the slow cooker I have is fab, not expensive and one you can use on the hob. Plus the pot is non-stick, really easy to clean and weighs far less than the ceramic ones :)

Bb's working of course, he's being brave and stopping at W/rose on the way home to find something for tomorrow's dinner.
No hordes to cater for here, the boys aren't coming till Tuesday and we'll take them out to Prezzo.
My mum used to love Easter, so much less work and pressure than Christmas. I can't work up any enthusiasm, it's not the same if you don't have any family.
Last year we were on the Isle of Wight, so that was different.

Hope Kaz is having a great time, and hope you all have a good day
