Wonder where my post went

Gorgeous morning here, so I've walked up and down the drive 4 times It's about 1km so will be doing that for the morning exercise

Will do some houseworkery stuff and then will head out to do something

Going to Antonia's for dinner - I'm taking it - tuna salad - and no doubt Pieter will be there too. As well as a friend who is staying for a couple of weeks.

The weather looks dull at the moment but the forecast is decent for later. Mick has the day off, he's using up holiday entitlement, so we'll be out for lunch later Firstly though I'm popping next door for a cuppa with Sue, and a look at her daughter's wedding video. I saw the dress before the wedding as Sue showed me it, and it was quite stunning, and from the shop where B worked briefly

Usual work day for me but then heading over to Karl and Nadine's tonight for dinner- it's Nadine's birthday and she's ordered in some Thai food, made by one of the mom's at the school. Her food is absolutely amazing - can't wait.

Tomorrow we're all off to a pub lunch as it's Karl's birthday on Sunday. But because that clashes with Mothers Day here in the UK we're celebrating his birthday one day early so his best friend can join.

Sorry for the confusion - it's 250 metres from the gate to the house, so I did it 4 times in 6 minutes.

Considering I haven't done any walking for a long time - and there is an incline (Grumpy calls it the mountain ) was quite pleased.

That's still fab going Ton... x

Bright and sunny here

Coffee on the terrace sounds ideal Ally. Can't wait for summer to arrive and we can sit out on our new patio, wasn't able to enjoy the garden at all last year with all the mess the builders were making.

Well done Ton, good for you.

Our new sofa and chairs arrived in good time yesterday morning so we were able to get out for a light lunch at M&S and do some shopping. Although the overall dimensions are pretty much the same as our old suite, it's a bit higher off the ground which is better for E getting up and down, but my short little legs will take a bit of time to get used to it Colour wise and design it's spot on.

Just after we got home I had a lovely surprise. Z sent me some beautiful flowers, she wanted me to be able to enjoy them before we go up to see mother tomorrow, hence the early delivery.

No plans for today, doing some washing and a few other chores I'd normally do over the weekend.

Been to art this morning, enjoyable as always, and all very sad as it's the last art session till October
A week off then some of us have signed up for 'craft and chat' for the rest of the time. No idea how it's going to work, we're making it up as we go along I think.
This is when I'm planning on doing my covered boxes, and anything else I can think of

Well done on the walking Ton, you're getting a fair bit of exercise with all that weeding too

Afternoon all, it's a lovely sunny day here but still cold, although supposed to be milder from tomorrow. I have all my fleeces washed and out on the line, plus a lot of my woollen jumpers - planning on putting them away, I am ever hopeful of warmer weather I've also done other h/worky stuff and am having a little rest now before getting my lunch. Mr Osc is playing golf. Ireland -v- Wales tonight, so we will be watching that.

Afternoon all, it's sunny but cold and windy here.

I walked Billy just after 7 and then got the bus into Stafford. The roads are chaotic around here. The M6 is fully closed for repair work to a bridge after an accident, it's a bit further up - between Stafford and Stoke - but it's still affecting the roads around here. The bus I caught over there was just a few minutes late but the one back was due in Stafford town centre at 11.01 and it was showing on the app as being 9 minutes late, the electronic sign in the stop said it was due. Then it disappeared from the app and the sign. They'd obviously decided to miss out the route around the town to make up some time, a favourite trick of Arriva, they've got form for doing that. The next one was due at 11.31 and finally arrived at 11.40.
