Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 23 Feb 2017, 08:03

Good morning. :D

It chucked it with rain through the night - I had no idea but Don's just told me it did and I can see the garden furniture is wet.

Brightening up as I type - my trainers are on so a run it will be

Work 4 - 9 then meeting Don for a couple of beers and a bite to eat.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Ally and all, it's quite bright here but very windy. I think the worst of the storm, the strongest winds and heavy rain, is due to hit us later this morning though. We're in one of the highest parts of the Midlands here though and local radio have just warned that it could hit 70-80mph on higher ground :? So definitely a day for staying in.

Have a good day all, hope it's not bin day for anyone!

Good morning.
We are having heavy rain. It is windy but not as strong as forecast yet.
Going to the bank and some shopping this morning.
Then just pottering.
Have a good day. Hope you all keep dry and safe.

Morning everyone

Grey start again - it got really warm yesterday, so hoping for the same later.

I was going to yoga, but I'm still not sure it's the right thing for me, so am giving it a miss again and will do lots of housework instead

Popping into Ourique to get a few bits and bobs for tomorrow night - no tuna stew though  Found out that the tuna the supermarket uses is frozen, then thawed out on ice, so think we'll give that a miss too :cute:

Grumpy will be spending his time on the veggie garden. The cabbage we had last week was lush and we have brocolli just about ready now too :Hi: :Hi: He'll be planting some more garlic as well.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing and stay safe over there xx

Staying in didn't last long, 20 minutes or so. I thought I'd take Billy out while it was still dry and before it got too windy, but we stuck to the common and gave the woods a miss. There's just been a traffic alert on the radio that the main road down by Tesco is closed due to a fallen tree. Really hope no cars were hit when it fell as it's a busy A road :?

Good morning my friends.

It's cold, wet and windy here. Been a walk to the local shop, but glad to be back home.

Not much on today, except getting ready for my Golden Oldies Night this evening.

Hope you are all well. Wrap up warm if you go out.

Morning all

sun is trying to break through grey clouds here, lots of wind. At one point on my way to work the heavens opened up, but only for about a minute or two and then it stopped as suddenly as it started

My brother was saying that part of his fence was blown over during the night but then it really is a very rickety fence so I'm not surprised at all.

Usual work day for me followed by a usual evening home - again

have a lovely day all, stay dry and warm

Morning all :D

It was raining when I woke up, very windy and the sun's trying to get through right now.

Can't believe it's 7 years ago today I was enjoying the start of my retirement, gosh how the time has flown by.

We're off out to do the weekly shopping in an hour or so, decided a few weeks ago we wouldn't rush so now incorporate a light lunch at M&S before we actually start, makes the day much nicer.

Hope you all have a good day :D
