Me too - such a huge talent but I think a very sad unhappy person. I am so glad I went to see him on my own in Dublin nine years ago, that time you came over Jo (although we hadn't met yet). It was a super concert and I always remember how good he was, plus of course at this time of year, Last Christmas, one of my favourites.

We were just saying that he had the most amazing ballady voice.

Always loved Careless Whisper as well as Last Christmas.

One of the best lines in a song ever "Guilty feet have got no rhythm".

That was such an incredible concert Osc, one I'll never forget. His voice was absolute perfection.

So many memories connected to him. The first time I ever went into a nightclub, aged 15, Everything She Wants was playing as we walked in. The day my Grandad died, I was listening to Careless Whisper while home for my lunch from school and my Mom called asking for my Dad's work number as she'd been called out of work because there was "a bit of a problem" at my Grandad's house. And then happier times, the concerts at Dublin and a month before that dancing and singing in the rain on the pitch at the Etihad with my friend Vonnie. The MEN the year before, got a last minute ticket on the third row and was stunned into silence when I met John afterwards, went the whole way journey home without saying anything.

A Different Corner reduces me to tears every single time. First time I heard it was on Radio 1 on a Sunday morning sitting in my friend Lisa's bedroom after staying there after a night out and every word made sense, because of how I was feeling about a boyfriend I had at the time.
