The two week cold

For 17 years now I've worked predominantly in the EU. I've got used to the normal colds and so I'm fairly immune to them.

So I come back to the UK, start work, two weeks later, Wham. Cold. They've told me to work from the hotel tomorrow if I'm not better, I' guessing they don't want it back....

Fair's Fair I think.......

It is not just a cold, it is a British Man Cold, the very worst sort of cold known to medical science.

I prescribe a bottle of a good single malt and chocolate digestive biscuits, but not at the same time.

ah well,

Heat, otrivine, benylyn, ibuprofen, solpadene and I'm a new man. If slightly unsure as to which planet I'm on. I'll be fine for tomorrow but I'm still coughing my lungs up at the moment. At least the sneezing and extremely annoying blocked ears are pretty much gone.

Sorry WM, I have one rule I stick to when working away. No solitary alcohol. So, sadly, hot toddies are out.

Onwards and upwards.
