Good morning. :)

We're off into Malaga to do our Christmas shopping, lunch, have a wander along the coast, watch the El Clasico match, see the lights, dinner and spend the night at a wee boutique hotel. :Hi: :Hi:

See you tomorrow. ;)

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Ally and all! It's a dull but dry one today. I'm missing the bright and frosty mornings!

I'm just doing some ironing while waiting for John to get up and we'll walk Billy then. He and the boys are going to visit his Mom at lunchtime to drop off the Christmas presents as will be back tomorrow night. I've got to collect Joe's hoodie from JD Sports this afternoon.

We did the outside lights yesterday and John got the tree and decorations out for me but they sat in the hall all day, with me saying that I'd do them "in a bit". I ended up moving the pile into the spare room at midnight. Just couldn't find the motivation. Maybe I'll do them over the weekend...

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Oh that does sound lovely Ally, enjoy your night away! :D :D

Jo ours will have to wait, probably until next weekend or so, although apparently this weekend is THE big weekend for buying Christmas trees. I think we might need a smaller (artificial) one this year, as I don't think the old one will fit now we have a bigger telly :?

Well it's a glorious sunny day here, so we'll be out later to enjoy it. Might sit outside Corretto's for lunch and watch the ice skaters falling over ;)   Later we'll pop in and see D, I know there are Christmas presents for us to collect, as both M's brothers have been up in recent weeks. D will take ours down with her, when she goes for Christmas, so although I've bought theirs I don't have to wrap them just yet! Phew!

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good Morning all,
Bright, sunny and cold here.
Will try and finish present buying today.
Sainsburys 25% off seems a good idea.
I think PJs for the grandaughters this year.
They have some lovely fluffy ones in there.
Have a good day.

Morning :)
Dull here, but dry, and not quite as cold.
Bb's out working, I'm staying in - the traffic and parking get as bad as mid-summer this time of year, but next Saturday will be no worse so I plan on going to the market then, or even the week after. There's usually something catches my eye :)

Went to art yesterday, we had a live model to draw. Poor lady, not sure you'd have recognised her from many of our attempts :? :)
Then went to the pop-up farm shop, bought some wild boar sausages for a Sunday brunch treat, and ordered our Christmas dinner - a single rib of Dexter beef :)
They're opening on the 23rd for all the collections so that's perfect, don't need to find space in the freezer for it.
No tree etc here yet, far too early!

Oh yes, and we watched the film A Walk in the Woods last night (Amazon prime, limited time), didn't know what to expect as I hadn't read the book (BIll Bryson) but it was terrific, funny too - Robert Redford plays Bryson, co-starts Nick Nolte and Emma Thompson :)

Ally have a fabulous time, I'd love to be doing that :)
Have a good day all
x

Morning all :)

Not sure what we're doing yet, as you can see we've been really lazy and had a long lie in. Think it will be bits and bobs, the washing's on and I know E wants to tackle the outside Christmas lights so we'll see.

Hope you all have a good day :)

Afternoon all, it was nice earlier but has got damp and rather chilly and raw now. We were up early to be ready for the children arriving early. The start/finish/main water station for Miss Osc's half marathon was just below our window, so we had a grandstand view. Michael did a big sign saying "Run Mummy Run" and we attached it to the window, and we made sure that we were at the window when she went by half way through. She did it in 2 hours 6 minutes and was really pleased with that.

The builder is finally here to fix the place in the roof that caused the leak in the bathroom roof. Pork chops for dinner with broccolli and sweet potato wedges, and then settle down to Strictly.

Di I read the book and loved it, I always enjoy Bill Bryson's laconic style. I saw the film in the cinema and was a bit concerned about how it would be, as Redford and Nolte are older than the characters in the book. But they were brilliant and so funny, the connection between them really worked. I always feel these older actors enjoy making these type of films, they have nothing to prove to anyone and can just have a good time :D

Loved the pic on Facebook Osc! Well done to Miss Osc! :D

We enjoyed A Walk In The Woods too! Loved the book, Tom's now started to read his way through my Bill Bryson collection.
