A naughty treat

A friend of mine was given one of these Christmas two years ago and I fell in love with it. I have so many candles at home already and really didn't need another but they're so very pretty - so I treated myself  . Oh, and bought one for my sister as her Christmas gift :D

How strange, but very nice.

Do the buildings get burned down or is there some way for the candle to still burn once the gel gets to the rooftops?

   Do you know Frank, I'm not sure what happens when the candle burns right down, but I'm sure it's not a repeat of London Burning - that would be awful. I'll have to check with my friend though

It's just very pretty when it's lit up

Ria, what I was wondering was if the wick burned down to the chimney and then the gel got sucked up like a lamp wick does with oil.

It would be sad to see the buildings ruined.

Very pretty Ria, are they scented? I burn scented candles all winter, but only supermarket ones, other than the Yankee one I always buy for Christmas :D ;)

I love those Ria! Not a naughty treat at all, you should treat yourself!

I've bought my sister a Wood Wick candle as part of her present, lemongrass scented, it's smells lovely and I hope the wick really does crackle as it burns. I've never tried one of those before.

I've ordered this for part of John's Mom's present so need to pick this up from M&S over the weekend. I'm quite tempted to get one for myself!

Oh, that is really nice as well Jo - definitely something to bear in mind as a Christmas gift for Nadine; the colours work perfectly in her house.

Kaz, the candle that I bought isn't scented. Just as well really, as I have quite a few scented ones already and wouldn't want to burn two at the same time. I do I love the Yankee Candles - they really do hold their scent - and tend to buy lots of the Christmas / winter smell ones in the Christmas sales for the next year. The sparkling cinnamon is one of my favourites. They also have one called icicles but it seems you can only buy it online now - they don't have it in the stores anymore.
