Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 22 Oct 2016, 06:11

Good morning. :D

After us sitting on the terrace chatting with Ed till 3.30am I think it'll be a while before the men in this house surface.

When they do we're going to stroll into town to the plaza and have breakfast in the square and watch the world go by. :D :D

We'll just take the day as it comes and then tonight we're back into town for a beer or two and dinner somewhere. :D :D

Have a great day everyone. :D

Don't know whether to say good morning or good night!

It's 25 past midnight here so I think that means that I've been awake now for 26 hours. We're just in from a late dinner at Denny's. The flight was great, I watched Sing Street which I highly recommend and Finding Dory which was wonderful! Once we were over the US though I mainly just looked out of the window, the views were amazing. Farmland at first, then the Rockies with a bit of snow and then onto desert. We flew over the tip of Greenland too which I always love to see.

Plans for Saturday are Hollywood and then onto the Warner Brothers Studios for a tour. At night we're planning on having dinner with my Australian friend.

Have a good day all!

Morning all,

End of a week which felt like it would never end. I just watched some movies and headed for bed last night, or to be more correct early morning.

Today I have to fix the bike. No doubt the phone I ordered will arrive at Argos, a day late and force me to head into the city to pick it up. However I really need the bike up and running, it takes 30 minutes to get to work on the bike and an hour or more by bus and tube. This time the petrol tank stays off the bike and connected to the carbs until I'm satisfied they are working correctly. That is, after I've put the new seal kit in the fuel tap which is leaking "again".

Washing is on as I only brought 7 shirts over and a few other clothes and won't be home again till next weekend.

Enjoy California Jo, I never got that far west in the times I went to the US.

I hope everyone else has a great day.

They do that in Argentina too. Apparently it's all about being good for the children. We were amused to watch it working.. 8-) 8-)

Morning all :D

It's a bit foggy here, hoping it clears for our drive home.

Glad you had a good flight Jo, sounds like you're in for a fun time.

Lunch with mother went well, she was happy to see us and managed all her dinner plus some ice cream. She's a bit quiet and withdrawn but doesn't show any signs of pain so it could just be another phase of the dementia. Her swollen leg's better than it was but she's having some dizzy spells so the GP is monitoring her. Tbh we're all amazed she's still doing as well as she is.

Just had brekkie, need to pack and then we'll be off.

Hope you all have a good day :D

And, needless to say, my phone has just arrived. So I've decided to buy a hoover too at £39 and avoid the cleaning costs every fortnight which makes sense of the £10 journey to pick up the phone...

Enjoy the day.

Oooo Jo that sounds tremendous fun - was it all visible in daylight hours? I haven't gone further west than Florida and that was back in the days when I daren't look out the window....I bet it was fab!! Have a smashing day 8-)

Glad B is enjoying her new job, Kaz - it sounds very interesting. I bet Saturdays are busy!!!

Mad change of plan here.....so it's meant to be our turn for the van (don't ask!!) but the blimmin dog is in an Imprtant Race at 2.40pm at Newcastle so we wouldn't be going till after that and quite frankly since the nights are starting to draw in, we'd barely have got there when it got dark, so we're going tomorrow for the day instead, probably leaving the house before 9! I even said I'd get the train from Durham today, John was picking me up from work at 12.30....and then Tom's car has developed another fault so it's just as well the original plan was shelved, I don't fancy the idea of driving back in a faulty car.....we'll use mine tomorrow...

I'm having a few minor probs with Donna atm, I'll maybe post about them elsewhere...

Jen is going straight to Kyle's from work so won't be home tonight - things are moving along nicely between the two of them :) I envisage a living arrangement change before too long.....

Have a great day everyone xxx
