Well, I will eat my words!!!

Mick came home early from work today and has made a start on the kitchen units!!!!!
He has put two floor units in (no doors or worktop) and three wall units, along one wall.
As he went to put the fourth wall unit up he realised that his measurements were 35mm out and the fourth wall unit won't actually fit. Now I was very restrained and not once did I utter the words "well, I did say that we would be better off getting them in to measure up properly". You would have been proud of me - the restraint I showed.
I actually don't mind not having a unit there - it is at the end of the wall and I think it would look pretty nice with just open shelves so I can display lovely things (that I will, of course, need to go out and buy). And it will be a constant reminder to Mick that I am always right and should always be listened to.
He would rather have a unit there as he says that I will never dust the shelves (true) so is going to call into Magnet next week to see if they do one the size that we want. We can use the "spare" unit to go on the wall above the bread making area as we hadn't ordered one for there - we were going to wait and see if it needed one. And if we don't want it there it can go in the utility room as I want a couple of wall units up there.
I don't know if he will get anything done tomorrow as I am out all day with my mum and he is in charge of the girls. And no doubt rugby will be on.
But he has rather surprised me by starting it within a week of it arriving.
However, the stone mason has still not been. I am ready to give up on him and find another one but Mick saw him last night and arranged for him to come today. Of course, he hasn't been.
