Morning ally and everyone looking like a good day Well my expected parcel didn't arrive yesterday so will have to hang about today Such a faff Hope everyone has a good day and sunshine and that tons, visitors arrive safely
Last minute bits and bobs to go today, Antonia is popping up with some of her scrummy tomatoes, Heldar may turn up to discuss the new room and then we're off
Down to the Algarve to do some shopping (things I can't get here, but can down there) and then onto the airport. They're not arriving until 8.05 so hoping we'll be back about 10.00. We're under instructions to pop into the bar and introduce them to Jose, Maria and Odette (the Portuguese aren't really nosy - just want to know everything )
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx
Bet you are excited about seeing your granddaughter Ton!
Well it's sunny here, the forecast is hot! Not too hot I hope as Tuesday is a zumba day, followed by a walk up to see D Also have a bit of prep to do later, for my client tomorrow
E's got an optician appointment later this morning so I expect we'll walk into town along the seafront and then find somewhere to eat afterwards. Apart from the extra expense the novelty of having to eat out every day is wearing thin I'm not an adventurous cook, but we rarely have ready meals, can't beat home cooked fresh food.
Morning all, it's lovely here and due to be the last good day........so of course Mr Osc has the second part of his root canal treatment and we will shortly be heading off for the train into town However I'll bring my book and sit in St Stephens Green while waiting for him. Might potter into TKMaxx while in town, I could do with a couple of towels for the downstairs bathroom. We might have lunch in town, depends how he feels. Have a good day everyone
Happy birthday Ally Good luck to Mr Osc for the dentist today; hope he's feeling OK enough afterwards for a bite to eat Jen, I can imagine the novelty of eating out is wearing off a bit. It's nice enough if you want to, but if you have to it does take the fun out of it; doesn't it? What about take-aways? Do you have any nice ones near by? Still not the same as home cooked but at least you're at home to eat it Ton, have just the best time with your visitors; enjoy every minute and looking forward to hearing all about it Kaz and Saundra, enjoy your respective days and Saundra hope your parcel arrives soon
Usual work day for me and then home to continue hacking at the hedge. I'm taking the top down quite a bit so most of it is needing to be done with secateurs; taking a bit longer than expected so I'm doing a bit every night after work. I've run out of space in the garden bin now though so need to pile it all up in a corner somewhere
Billy's had his walk and I popped over to the Co-op when Tom went out to work. I bumped into our two doors away neighbour, Catherine, on the way back so stood chatting to her for a while, her daughter is on the same course as Tom having been through school with him too but she chose to live at home, C said that her daughter can't wait to get back for her second year though which they're relieved about. She was originally going to study law at Birmingham but after sitting her final law A level exam she came home and announced that she never ever wanted to look at another law book again! Doing history was a bit of an impulse choice as she hadn't even visited the university so it's good to hear that she's enjoying it. I remember speaking to C around this time last year and she was so stressed and worried about it all.
Osc, I hope Mr Osc's appointment goes well. St Stephens Green is a great place to sit and people watch as well as read!
