The snow is snowing

Well, it came. As promised.

It started at about 10am and at about 12pm started to get really heavy. We now can't really see anything out of the window because it is blowing so much. We have around 4 inches (I haven't been out and measured it - yet   ).

It is forecast to turn to rain later this evening so the worry now will be that it freezes overnight. I rather stupidly bought my car up the hill at lunchtime when I finished work and never took it back down again so I don't know if I will get it out tomorrow - although I don't really need it until Saturday so it isn't a massive problem.

Eek :? We've had very icy rain this afternoon - at one point it looked like sleet, but then very quickly became rain again

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :(

It started here about 9am and has continued ever since. We have about 4 to 5 inches at the moment, but it is forcast to turn to rain by about 9pm. Tomorrow's rush hour temperatures are going to be at about 6 or 7 degrees, so a very quick thaw!

Ally you don't know how lucky you are!!! :(

It is Tom's birthday today and we had plans to go out this evening for a lovely steak meal....all have had to be put on hold because of the weather! Sideways snow, howling gales and freeeeezing temps!!!   I'd give anything right now to have a few days of warm calm sunshine :(

However, tomorrow's forecast is much better :D (couldn't be worse!!)

I do know how lucky I am Gal living in here in warm climes.

Not a day goes by that I‘m not thankful. :)

I hope you get to celebrate Tom‘s birthday. xx

Ally, it is seriously supposed to be getting milder and drier tomorrow - which is hard to believe right now, the snow has stopped but there's still an inch lying on the grass and there's a bitterly cold strong wind.
