What a bargain!

I was in Asda when I saw a trolley with 500g packs of butter marked down from £2.28 to £1.07.

As I went to pick one up the young lady with the pricing gun told me she was about to do them again. With that she stuck a 10p sticker on the packs.

Not wanting to seem greedy or opportunistic I only got five of them - 2.5Kg of butter for 50p.

Wouldn't be allowed to sell it, if is was. Probably just on its sell-by date, which of course is not the same as a use-by date ;)

It is not rancid and it is not on its use-by date, I asked as I thought the same. It is a line that has been dropped and the shelf space is needed for other products.

Best before = 28 July.

Its in the freezer.
