Good morning Thursday

Good morning. :D

Hot. 8-) 8-)

A run, swim then back to zonk on the sofa with a bucket of coffee.

Today I shall be lazing by the pool with one of the big fat juicy books I bought yesterday.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, all,

I'm home today so I'm off to work now, flight at 1:30 train to Poitiers and I get on my sick motorbike (fuel pouring out of the carburettors), to ride home.

Friday working from home so better.

As it's not Friday the travel stuff should go a little better, it has done the last few Thursdays.

Morning all :)

Ally, have a lovely lazy day :)

Suff, safe trip :)

Another dull, grey day here so far. Been a fortnight now since we had any decent sunshine, not just quick bursts between the torrents LOL :cute: No special plans yet, but B vaguely mentioned wanting to go to town some time before she goes (she needs to cancel her regular contact lens order at Specsavers, and go into the bank to let them know where she'll be for the next six months) so if she goes today I might tag along ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

Hazy still, as the mist burns off - kept me from having any internet connection

I've just asked Grumpy what are today's plans and he's decided to watch the builders   They're putting the first render on the wall and it's fascinating to watch an expert :D :D

I might fill up some cupboards and empty a chest full of paperwork, or I might just read 8-) 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

It was a lovely afternoon yesterday, yummy food and great company. It was much easier making friends in a new area when the children were young, school gate chats and so on. Much harder this time round so finding the group has been fantastic.

Think I missed it somehow Kaz, how did B do with her driving test?

We had lots of thunder and lightening last night, today it's just very wet and miserable. Don't think it's going to improve much either, looks like we'll be getting wet when we do the usual weekly shop

Hope you all have a good day :D

She just missed it Jen, but thanks for asking. She'll retake when she gets home from Canada in the New Year :) I think joining the group was a great idea Jen, it took me forever to make friends here, only in the last year or so really. It's true what you say about children making it easier for young mums!

Morning all

what a torrential wet and thundery night and morning - so many roads flooded, trains cancelled; pure and utter mayhem and the rain is meant to continue most of the day. Tube stations closed because of flooding - the list is ongoing. Just hope they get the trains sorted by home time!

Ally, enjoy your day by the pool
Suff, safe travels and smooth journey
Jen, take a brolly when you go shopping - a very very BIG one! And Kaz, same for you and Becks if you head to town
Ton, go with the reading option - enough time to sort cupboards later. Although if you do the cupboard now then you can really enjoy quality me time by the pool once it's finished ;)

usual work day for me and then having nails done this evening; that's about it.

have a lovely day all x

Good morning all.

I've just cast my vote in the Referendum. Now we'll see what happens.

It's sunny and mild here. I wonder how long it will last.

I've a few odd jobs to do this morning (not really odd!).

See you later. :)

Evening all. Rained really hard here last night too. I have a bucket outside that started only a 1/4 full of water and now it is overflowing and that was all in an hour.

Whatever you lot vote for please don't screw up the exchange rate, I'm in the process of moving my super fund to NZ
Everything happens for a reason
