Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 10 Jun 2016, 05:21

Good morning. :D

Hotsville. 8-) 8-) 8-)

A wee run and back for a swim and then coffee. :D :D

I've a lovely new nail polish so I'll be painting my nails later. :D :D

Homework club 4.30 - 6.30, dash home to pick up the car (it's not worth taking the car to work. It's all one way that by the time I drive round looking for a space I'm quicker walking  ) then straight to the airport to pick up Don who lands at 7. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Jacob's due to land at 7.15   but will have kept tabs on Don's take off time before his own flight and if there's a possibility of bumping into each other at Malaga airport he's going to have a beer in the top part of arrivals and wait until he's sure Don's through. I've to message Jacob as soon as I've got Don in the car.

I've got the music from Mission Impossible playing in my head.

I'll probably get arrested for acting suspiciously.

Beers and tapas tonight and will try not to combust thinking about tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone. :D

Morning Ally and everyone

Grey, cloudy and quite cool here this morning

Grumpy is planning yet more strimming later, right down at the bottom of the field, by our neighbour, to keep in their good books

I have no idea what I'll be doing today - I'm sure Ill think of something, trying to weed maybe, but the "rockery" is now hard as rock, so may just end up pulling the tops off

Have a great day everyone, try not to combust Ally, would make a mess of all your plans :D :D

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Eldest daughter M bought us a special lunch deal as one of my birthday pressies so that's what we're doing today. It's near Dover and gets good reviews so should be very good.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all

Happy Portugal Day Ton, hope the digger isn't around too long and you get some peace and quiet today
Ally, that really is going to be stealth cloak and dagger stuff at the airport today. Good luck that it all goes to plan - what a lovely surprise for Don :D
Jen, enjoy the lunch - hope it's as good as the reviews say.
Kaz, enjoy your day whatever you end up doing x

Overcast here as well but they're expecting it to clear apparently - we'll wait and see. It's going to be a long day for me - woke up at 4am because of a cat noise; had a bleary look out the bedroom window and went from sleepy to wide awake in less than a second when I realised that Henry was sitting on the fence - which means he got out the garden somehow (it's cat proofed) and couldn't get back in. Poor boy no idea how long he'd been there, I'm just so grateful he was hanging about on the fence and didn't walk off. 1/2 hour later I finally managed to literally pull him inside after having torn the netting off the fence in places. Needless to say not much sleep had since then. I managed to tape most of the netting back on this morning but tonight I'll staple it all again as it should be.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all,

Ally, that sounds familiar...

Ria, you know they're going to get out. Nothing but a cage is really cat proof and they are such sneaky things. I assume Henry is fine, they do so much better than us.

Damp, overcast and raining here today. I didn't put my waterproofs on this morning as it was misting but not raining. 2 minutes later and I was riding through rain. No intention of stopping so I arrived a bit damp as it was on and off. gear drying at work.

Left my phones in the apartment this morning. 3rd time this year, probably going emeritus. At least I have skype text so I texted Mrs S and let her know so she doesn't worry that she can't get me.

As of today I've lost nearly 2.5st in weight and my bp is down. So why am I sitting here with a tight chest and pains running down my left arm? Sheer frustration at people who sit there whilst you are talking and then just ignore every word you say then demand you do what you have spent 10 minutes telling them can't be done.

My phrase for today. Which syllable in NO don't you understand.

Off to BIL and SIL tonight for a meal and drinks. Been asked to stay over for the night so I will probably drink more than is good for me. But it will be nice to have a relaxing evening after all the dieting.
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.

it's the first time in the nearly three years I've had him - so I thought I was doing well :D The other two that are confined as a breed don't really jump so I've never worried about them. But it was a heart stopping moment when I saw Henry on the wrong side of the net!

Super well done on the weight loss - that is a fab result. As for the tight chest and the pains... if you're being serious then I'd say go see a GP but I suspect my favourite phrase of the day would be more medicinal: it's the type of day you'd like to give someone a high five, in the face, with a chair   :)

Enjoy that dinner tonight and those extra drinks

Afternoon all - I've been to the doctors for a blood test and BP check, still high so have to go back next week :(

It's cloudy and a bit damp today. Hope this doesn't bode badly for the next two weeks or I MIGHT cancel my second week of holiday (and rebook it for later). Popped in to see Jan (work) after docs, she has a dilemma and doesn't know which way to turn. She was in on her own so we had a coffee together until someone came in. She's seriously thinking about either retiring or drastically reducing her hours so essentially she'd work on my days off, hence I'd never see her. Gonna miss her soooo much!!

Jen went to work for a training day but then returned after an hour! They'd mis- booked her - she's in normal work later. We are having Lewis to sleep tonight, he's not stayed for ages so will be a nice change. I bumped into D's mother (and Lily) when I popped to Asda earlier, we stood chatting for a fair few minutes - it's funny but I think if circs were different, we might've been mates, we share a lot of similar opinions.

Ria I can imagine how you must have felt, seeing Henry like that! Smudge spends as much time as he can outside, especially in warm weather, he is very much a night boy, he's currently snoozing in the corner of the sofa, hasn't moved for hours, but tonight he'll be out all night as usual.

Have a lovely Friday everyone xxx
