Lent - are you giving anything up?

Postby Diflower » 12 Feb 2013, 20:53

I haven't decided - bit late I know ;)

Last year I gave up white wine, which is mainly what I drink. It went quite well, I did have the odd can of Bb's beer, and a few times bacardi & coke, also a few glasses of red wine. But 7 weeks is a long time, so I was happy with how it went.
I've given up chocolate a few times, crisps when I ate more than I do now (only have them very occasionally).

When I was about 7 or 8 I agreed to give up pocket money, except it was still kept for me. I'd seen something I really wanted and it was how I learnt to save :)

I am going to give up being nice.

I will gladly give up not eating chocolate.

And my abstinence from drinking a quality single malt will end. :D

Naaaa - I'm not religious so don't need to :P   Besides, I hardly ever drink, don't smoke, already have a lot of foods on the 'can't eat' list, so just about the only thing left to give up - I ain't giving up!!! ;)

But can you give it up for seven weeks? ;)

BTW I can be nice for seven weeks, no probs, but I am an Atheist so Lent means nothing to me. :P
