Spendthrift

I think.

In the last week I've bought.

A watch to replace the one I left at home in my mad dash to make the plane back on Sunday.

Some waterproof overshoes for my bike so that I don't have to wear my boots to work when it's raining.
A wifi router/access point to replace the one I'm using now.
A replacement USB keyboard for typing on my Laptop. Long story, two useless one's here. However one of those will replace the one on my server which is gradually falling to pieces (literally gaps in the casing where it's broken.

I bought two sets of overboots because they were stupidly cheap, hence probably not very good quality.

Total cost? £71.

I'm looking and I'm constantly buying stuff. Probably in part because I buy very cheap stuff (the watch is Timex and actually not bad quality but only cost £25), but, still, it's a constant drain on the resources.

Sometimes I wonder if I should just put up with what I have. But, somehow, life seems to short.

You know, justifications. I guess I won't change much. It's not as if I go out buying £500 watches ever other month.

You are only a spendthrift if you spend on things you do not need.

So ... two pairs of galoshes.

You're guilty. ;)

Being a patron of Lidl I have now learned the hard way that if I see something I would like I should buy it there and then because it will never be there again. :)

They tend to sell annually Ped. I see Bike stuff there each Jan/Feb and not again till that time of year.

However being a patron of ebay I find that tends to be cheaper but you need to be a better buyer. £100 motorcycle stuff in Lidl, tends to be around £50 on ebay but you need to know what to look for.

Now that ebay does Argos click and collect it's become much easier for me as my addresses tend to itinerant. Amazon also does pretty good deals but tends to be 25% higher than ebay and it's harder to get sellers who will deliver to an Amazon locker.
