  that's quite a hike.... but you'll love it when you get to the top - amazing!

As a matter of interest and just being curious... do you and David usually let people know which path you're taking on your climbs. Do mobile phones receive signal up there

Blimey Ally - I don't think I could start to climb in the heat you guys have....though I guess that's normal for you ;)

When we were in the Lakes the other week, we climbed on the cooler days, when it warmed up it was too hot to think about climbing!!

This will be our highest climb so far Ria...I'm getting butterflies thinking about it!

David is fab at getting all the routes from Wikiloc. I then leave a copy for Don so's if the worst happens....

So far we've had no problems getting phone signals. :D

We (or should I say my intrepid climbing chum  ) packs everything in case of an emergency in his rucksack. :D

Like everything I attempt in life..I'll tackle it face on and not worry.

And you shouldn't have to... I was asking because I was having a discussion with a friend quite some time back and she thought I was being a bit 'paranoid'. In the summer she often goes for hikes along the South Downs. She'll prebook a B&B and then head off. But no one knows where she's walking and what route she takes - and she's on her own. She usually gives her mom some sort of idea, but mom lives in Germany and doesn't speak English

Enjoy that climb and lots of photos please!

You just never know...better to be safe than sorry, hence me leaving details when it's a really big climb like this one. :D

I looked at La Maroma and saw 29716 and thought : "that is as high as Everest", then I looked at the map.

Even so, 2100 metres is quite a height. Have fun.
