Morning Ally and everyone

Another lovely morning here too :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

I'll try and finish off weeding along the drive, up against next door. Sadly, their dogs get a tad nasty if they see me    and the mad boxer tries to get at me through the fence :cute: :cute: :cute: Not got far to do and then hopefully we can have a bonfire tomorrow - just in time before it's banned until the winter.

A holiday here Liberty Day - the day Portugal got rid of the dictator.

So we may go down to the bar later - but I must be a domestic goddess first - glad it only takes me an hour to clean the whole house

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally, have a lovely lunch with your mum and dad :D

Morning Ton, those dogs sound a bit of a nightmare :? Hope you get your weeding done :)

Well it's dry here at the moment but chilly again, and the forecast is for a chilly week *sigh* I didn't manage to get my gardening done yesterday, so I'm planning on getting that done, as well as some housey stuff. Not bothering with WW today.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Damp and miserable here.

Don't like the sound of those dogs Ton, hope you get the weeding done.

Enjoy lunch Ally.

Taking the car into town this morning, need some veggies and fruit and it's not really walking weather. No other plans.

Hope you all have a good day :D

jen x

Morning all

Damp and grey and cold here too Jen - bored of it now. The night time temps are due to drop quite a bit again this week; not nice :( Kaz, I got a bit of gardening done a few weeks back but that was about it - it's just really not ready for much more. I am going to have to move a few plants into the greenhouse for this week I think

Ally, enjoy the walk and then lunch with the parents x
Ton, good luck with the weeding. How do you get on with the neighbours who own the dogs? If well enough could you ask them the dogs names and find out if they're allowed the odd treat or so, then whenever you need to go that section of the garden, call them by their name and acknowledge them and throw them a treat - they'll hopefully be nicer? All this provided of course - that you're OK with dogs? Or try just simply talking to them when you're there? Not pleasant otherwise for you :(

Well, back to the usual work day and evening home for me :D

Have a lovely day all

x

Ria, they have three dogs who are rescue dogs and although they'll bark at us, they're not the problem. It's the mad boxer

They've already told us he's a real softy :? :? :? but not to put our hands through the fence - yeah, as if

This house was empty for a long time and they only moved in a couple of years ago, so the dog George, isn't used to people next door. We thought we'd cracked it a while ago, but no, he still doesn't like us getting near him. In fact, we can be sat on the front terrace and he'll poke his head under the fence panels and bark at us, but nicely

He'll race down their side of the land, as we drive down and bark madly at me, as I'm opening and shutting the gate

Our neighbours at the bottom of the drive have a lovely dog called Toby, who'll wag his tail madly- But he and George had a run in when Toby was small and now if George is at the bottom of their garden, Toby goes bonkers   Judy, Toby's mum, said George really went for Toby when he was small, so she avoids him like the plague. And the guy putting the pool in built the house where George lives and he said, only last week, that the dog was mental.

So it's just something we have to put up with. Sadly. If there is one thing that annoys me, it's the fact that their house - next door, with the dogs - is built so close to ours - but this is Portugal and if you have enough land, you can build where you want.

Sorry, my Monday morning moan over ;)

Morning Jen, not the nicest weather is it?

Ria it's just tidying and lifting out the bulbs for now. Am hoping it will warm up enough to get my pots planted up soon!

Morning all, dull and cold here with occasional spits of rain. I have put out the washing though in the hope that the breeze will override the rain  I have absolutely no plan for the day, will just see where it takes me.....possibly it won't even take me out of the chair ;) Mr Osc has gone to play golf. Have a good day everyone :)

Saundra mine only came out a couple of weeks ago, and then 'went over' quite quickly - it's really late this year
