Been moving stones from around the top part of the garden, after weeding - then my back decided that enough was enough and these blasted ants were munching on my toes :o

So it's down the bar - me and my blister

I remember returning home after a holiday, and finding two strings of ants
going under the front door - one going in and the other coming out. We went in,
following the two columns through the hall and lounge, and into the kitchen.
Then up to a wall cupboard to a sugar basin. They certainly are clever devils.
It reminded me of that film, The Naked Jungle. Anyone remember it?

We can't put down poison for them, with having the dogs, so I try to find the nest if I see ants, and pour boiling water on   At least it's quick

I always lay a trail of talcum powder wherever I find traces of ants. Nasty little things!

Mrs S gardens with a bottle of ant powder beside her. Lost cause I recon we have a few billion of them in the garden, only mass genocide would get rid of them at which point the few billion in the garden next door would come to visit.

At least we keep them out of the house. Pity we have so much trouble keeping the mice out now we don't have a cat any more.
