A pear shaped day

We had everything planned for a lazy day, then friends rang, from Fuzeta, we're coming up to visit :shock Now
Cue frantic prep for dinner, the house was tidy, no worries there.
Ring, I said, as soon as you're on the IC1 - knowing how long it would take them from Fuzeta and being a canny lass, we went down to the bar early, as we know roughly how long the journey should be.,
They found us No phone call
And I missed the cheese lady and the veg man again because we were showing off our house - so we now have to improvise for the next few days dinners. And I was really looking forward to doing a new recipe with cauli, natural yoghurt and curry powder. Hey ho, it's going to be wet and cold next week, we'll have another curry then.
But, we went to take them back down the bar, to collect their car and Helda arrived - I've just been to your house, you weren't in. No Helda, you said, 5 weeks ago, you would ring us and come and give us a price that week.
So he came up, with 8 year old (nightmare) son and we spent the next hour, talking wiring, lecky, pool and money.
He'll come back to us next week - he said, with the price.
We have no worries about the kitchen stuff, under 1,000€, moving wiring, etc. But the pool will be the biggie
Helda is the main man, for building locally, so can really, charge a lot more than he does, as most of the English and other ex-pats use him. But we've known him for a few years now and he and Grumpy get on well, both being in the same trade.
