Tv problems

Problems with my tv it keeps switching its self of
When I switch it on
It's old about 9years
But is it broken or have I switched something of wrong
Help WM

Yikes :o Hopefully it can be sorted, but then nothing seems to last that long any more!

I would rather it just didn't work then I would know it had died
I will ask my neighbours if I see them

Sandra, check that the power on / off button on the remote isn't getting stuck

I agree with Ria, forget the remote and use the buttons on the TV itself.

If it works without the remote you know where the fault is.

Thank you all tv is now redundant :D
Son came it 40mile each way and tried the switches on the tv got as far as the menus and it kept switching of
So he went to Tesco morrisons no 32inch tv's currys close at 6on a Saturday

Can't fit a bigger one on the tv table so he ended up at coop :Hi: and brought me a Panasonic 32inch tv
And its fine so he's going to try and sort the other one out
He's on his way back home of treated him to a family
takeaway

But they have had there moments over the years believe me
