Our "new" grandson

Alex
Sonia told him to look on us as his English grandparents and, at 18, I suppose he is.
But he mucked in, even ate my soup and said it was good well, he had to, really I left him and Grumpy alone a few times, so they could do the male bond thingy
We spoke nothing but English, even though we were all tempted to Portuguese, every now and then. He also learnt a couple of new words Lush and peckish
He's coming back, as and when he can, due to schooling times.
He wants to join the army and has to be fluent in English for that I actually think he's pretty good now, but he struggles with confidence.
And his dad has said that, in 4 weeks, we are going to dinner at their house and Alex will speak to us in English, to prove to his dad that he's good enough.
His dad can't speak a word, apart from "hello"
