I've just spotted on fb a friend of a friend who has posted a photo of herself in her cap and gown as she has just qualified as a primary school teacher. :D

She then goes on to say...'I couldn't of done it without my family and friends'!! :x :? :o

Is it me or does this wind anyone else up?

It's the apostrophe misuse that really gets to me - plurals do not require an apostrophe!!!!  :(

I can't think exactly what the grammatical error was now but I did notice one in Joe's school book once, made by the teacher in her comments....so I commented back and corrected it for her :P

As you say, no wonder so many children can't read or write properly, if their teachers are not able to do so

I picked up on the fact that some of his spelling mistakes hadn't been corrected once whilst others had, I was told that spellings weren't that important...they were looking more for good grammar and content.
