I have typed this about 4 times, but it keeps disappearing

We'd done a fair bit in our garden yesterday and thought we deserved a well earned couple of beers, so popped down to the bar.

On our way home, we could see loads of smoke

That's us, I said

No, he said, it's too far away.

Oh yes, it was us

I counted 8 huge bonfires as we drove up to the house and then we helped Maria and Felipe light two more

So only a couple more to go and then the ground will be ready for ploughing.

The sheep didn't seem to mind the smoke and when Maria left, after 7.00, it was dark, so she had heck of a job, getting the sheep together

Several of them are still smouldering so we're off out to pile more stuff on them.

Hope the bombeiros were told

Had plenty of smoked pork ie bacon but never smoked lamb. I wonder what it tastes like.

I thought that I was going mad yesterday evening. I saw a post and was about to reply, then it was gone, then another and another! I had to have a glass of milk and go to bed.

One of them mentioned some "ouchy that hurts, beers" so I took that as a clue....

I was rock clearing yesterday WM - and the garden is full of them

Some gentle weeding, sat on me bum, today
