We wanted to put the runner beans in too - but the bamboo that was left here splintered and broke as we picked it up so useless .

Popped down to the bar, as you do to ask and Jose and the other guys in there told us to walk across our neighbours field, to the eucalyptus forest and pick up the bits we want. We're not to cut anything, but help yourself to the stuff on the floor

And Odette came out with the rolls (delivered this morning) that Jose had forgotten to get for us on Saturday

Then Sue and Gez turned up and we had a good chat about various things - what not to plant, what to plant.

Roast pork for dinner - but I am so looking forward to eating our own veg in a few months

I think we need to start calling you Barbara and Tom from the Good Life

it really all just sounds so idyllic to me Ton - hard work yes, but totally worth it in the end. Enjoy every minute of creating your little peace of heaven on earth x
