the dinner tonight that is.... we were meant to be 5 people but yesterday afternoon one couple pulled out as she's not feeling well at all. Then this morning I got a message from the other couple to say that he's not well so it'll only be her... so down from 5 to 2. Oh well - c'est la vie and I'll get through the food I bought somehow I'm sure Most of it thankfully is fresh veg that will keep a while

On the bright side though, the tree planting this morning was huge fun and it really spurred me on to get going in my own garden.

Our day didn't go as planned either, D woke with a very bad back so the kitchen shopping was postponed. We still popped round though to make sure she was ok. It has been the most beautiful sunny day here, we sat outside the coffee shop at lunchtime, in the sunshine

At least with my birthday dinner it went down from 8 to 6, not so bad and I knew in the morning xx
