to see old friends, but by heck, it's lovely when they go

Where they get their energy from, I have no idea.

But lovely, as always to see them.

They've now gone to Evora, via Beja and may come and visit on their way back.

They loved the house, love the area, met some of our friends, gave us a few very good ideas about stuff, kitchen, land etc.

And they stayed in their camper van - so no worries about Grumpy and his snoring ;)

I know what you mean, we were exhausted when our friends went home on Tuesday! Did I ever tell you that Evora is a name used around here a bit, two houses and a housing estate, wouldn't you wonder what the connection is.

Well that's interesting :)
According to Wikipedia, Evora in Portugal was known as Ebora to the Celts, who made the town their regional capital.
Thought to be from ebora, plural of euro meaning yew tree, so it's of the yew trees
As you know, York was Ebor, and was originally named after the ancient Celt place Ebora Kon, place of the yew trees :)

There are other ideas about the name but this sounds right :)
Celts get everywhere :)
