Last September at Friday's homework club it was decided a half hour story telling session might be a good idea and my name was put forward for it.
I'm so glad I accepted because it's the best 30 minutes of the week!
We started with 4 children and now have between 10-14 every Friday.
I choose the story, gather some props and off I go. I print a worksheet/colouring sheet for them to do once the story's finished.
For instance today I'm reading Little Red Riding hood and I've made a wolf mask, will be wearing 'granny' glasses and have an old shawl thing round my shoulders.
I've downloaded 'who's afraid of the big bad wolf' too and they'll sing along.
I have Amanda helping me keep things in order as it can get mental!
No wonder I like my beer on a Friday night!
