New Day

I was going to post this earlier in the week ..... did anyone else pick up the first edition of the new national newspaper "New Day" - and what did you think of it?

There was a pile in our local Co-op on Monday - the first edition was free, and I think the price has been set for the moment at 25p. It's not a huge paper in terms of pages, and the style seemed to me to be a cross between the Independent and the Metro, the freebie daily that gets distributed in urban areas. It was OK, but I guess I prefer to read something with more "meat" to it. I gather its initial circulation is quite promising, but whether it survives for long in this digital age ... well, I wouldn't put any money on it.

I meant to pick one up on Monday but forgot, so your take on it is helpful :)

I was given a copy on Monday when I bought our daily paper.
All I would say it is different but I will not be buying it.
How new papers can get enough people to buy one and make a profit defeats me
