Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 29 Feb 2016, 06:53

Good morning. :D

Forecast sunny and lovely. 8-)

A coffee then a good run.

As it was Andalucia Day yesterday they make it a bridging day today so it's a holiday. :D

There are some parades through town later that we'll wander in to watch, have some lunch and a few beers. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally :) That all sounds lovely, have a great time :D

Morning everyone, it's very chilly and thick frost here, but it's looking to be a sunny day which is the main thing. Last day of Feb, so the last day of the meteorological winter!!! Hoorah, bring on spring!! :Hi: Officially the warmest and wettest winter since 1910

I'm off to WW shortly, possibly for the last time. Not doing zumba afterwards, I am doing the Tuesday morning class from now on as well as Wednesday night ;) Becky has a few consecutive days off work, for a change, so is going to stay with her dad for a few days, and visit her granddad who is very poorly still - her train is at lunchtime and she has a driving lesson first. She's just booked her test, for early May 8-) :) My Chris has his second attempt at the test today, so some VV vibes would be appreciated please :D Especially after last time  ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Morning all :D

Hope Chris gets through this time Kaz.

We had a great time at the quiz yesterday. Our team came 5th out of 8 teams so not too bad. We also raised almost £400 for Motor Neuron disease so very good afternoon all round :D

I've got an appointment at the optitian later this morning. Vision in my left eye has become very misty so there's obviously a problem with the cataract, hope it's something that's easily fixed, it was traumatic enough having it done in the first place :?

This afternoon someone is coming to look at the kitchen and do a new design, will be interesting to see how it differs from the last one.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, miserable wet day here....both inside and out as himself has a bad cold  Had a fun discussion last night (with a man) who maintained he heard on the radio that scientists have proven that men experience flu far worse than women, therefore "man flu". He was laughed out of it on the basis that the scientists were probably all men   Only h/work planned for today and maybe catching up on some recorded stuff. Enjoy your day everyone :)

Morning all

Good luck for Chris today Kaz. As for it being the end of the meteorological winter, I wish the weather would listen to that - I'm done with the cold and wet and more than ready for warmth; but looking at the forecast we're still in for a good few really nippy nights. I do think though that winter now is more Jan / Feb / March and that all the seasons have shifted by a month and a bit

Enjoy the parades Ally - need to google what Andalucia Day is all about; I love learning about other countries' holidays and traditions :D
Saundra - poor your. Sinus pain is horrendous. What - if anything are you taking for it? Has the GP ruled out food intolerance as a cause (esp dairy?)
Jen, we were at the local Cats Protection Quiz night on Saturday night - huge fun. Our team (my sister in law came with me and we joined forces with some other random people) came 2nd, but only because we got the highest score possible on the very last round. Good luck with your optician appointment later. And good luck with the kitchen design bod
LOL at the discussion last night Osc. Man Flu really is a phenomenon isn't it :)

Usual work day for me - but heading out for lunch with a colleague which will be nice. Bossman was mean to be away, but he changed his flight and came back a day early so expecting him in at some point - sigh

Have a lovely day all

Sorry Sondra forgot to say that sinus trouble is the pits. Someone mentioned dairy products quite rightly, cheese ,butter, anything like that will make the condition worse and any catarrh will worsen . If you have any Vick or similar you could make an inhalation with a towel over your head and the bowl.
Hope it clears up soon.
