Very impressed - part 1

I rang our internet provider this morning, as for some reason, they sent me a bill, rather than doing a direct debit.

My Portuguese on the phone is not brilliant, so I asked to speak to an English speaker.

We spent 26 minutes on the phone (sadly, on my bill   ) but got everything sorted - and believe me, there was a lot to sort.

I needed them to put the correct address on the bill, which is now being sent by e-mail anyway    and other stuff - but a very helpful young man :D

Can you imagine a Portuguese ringing BT and asking for a Portuguese speaker?

Sir, many blessings, I am only just this now learning the English people's speaking. I will putting you on the hold until I learning some Portugal. Then I am going back. OK?

Hola, hola.... oh she goes....

Next time, I'll keep my good news to myself

Oh, Ton, don't.

I was comparing UK companies and their overseas call centres. They can't even understand English (accents/dialect), never mind Portuguese.

xxx

I actually think that what service you got was brilliant. :D :D :D

Sod it, Di, she's not worth it. Ton only does lumpy gravy. I mean, LUMPY, how difficult is lump free?

I really am tempted with their spare room and smooth gravy lessons.
