That charity thing we went to last night - why do people have to be complete gannets on the buffet??  If some people had had just one plate (okay, piled high, but one would have been enough) rather than 3 or even, in one case 4  plates of food, then there would have been enough for everyone.

We paid 15 euros a head - what food we had was good, the band was very very loud, so a lot of people left as soon as they started   - having had their 3 plates of food

But the wine and soft drinks were included in the price, and our table of 9 had 5 non-drinkers    (2 on a diet and one wouldn't drink the wine, 2 non-drinkers)
but Steve, Grumpy, Mary and I made up for that 8-) ;) ;)

The taxi was 20 euros, so a rather expensive night out - probably not to be repeated, we'll just plead poverty next time

But I have been told that I must go along to at least one coffee morning   so I might just go to one, we'll forget about the gardening club, yoga and other stuff, I think

I often wonder why.

No wonder there are so many obese people now.
Greed seems to be the curse of the human race now.
(greed for food, greed for money, etc., etc.)

It is pretty rude to stuff yourself like that, when there are others still not served! :?
