Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 07 Feb 2016, 07:53

Good morning. :D

I am spending the day at home. The only time I'll be outside is to peg out and bring back in the washing.

Lots of TV recordings to catch up on and lots of book reading. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning :)
Good luck with that Ally :D

Yesterday was absolutely dreadful, hugely strong winds and horizontal rain. We managed to dodge out and get some supplies, so no shopping needed today.
And today is the only nice(ish) day ahead of an even worse storm on its way tonight and tomorrow at least (80mph at least winds with the rain), so we're off out while we can.
A stomp by the sea maybe followed by a bacon buttie at the café as soon as I've had my shower - it will be seriously cold and blowy but that's what hoods and scarves are for :D
Had a small piece of bargain beef in the freezer so that's out for tonight, and Bb has even promised to make Yorkshires :D
Hope you all have a good day

Morning Ally and everyone

We have sort of hazy sunshine after last nights very high wind and rain, with more rain to come tomorrow, so will make the most of today 8-)

Off to a friends later, to pick up some sand - no, not for a sand-pit or that we miss the beach. The gates need sorting, very badly fitted, so Grumpy needs to make another place for the bolt to go in.

Then a gentle pootle in the garden - the bit that is mostly shale and rock and where we've planted some of our plants and pulled up most of the weeds

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and dry at the moment, fingers crossed it stays that way for our journey up to Wilts. Not seeing eldest daughter M this time around, she's away for the weekend so no rush to get there today. It will be a change not having to watch the clock all the way there.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)

Safe trip Jen :)

Hmmmm bet you 'crack' and go out later Ally ;)

That sounds lovely Di, have a nice walk 8-)

Morning Ton :D

After a day of terrific rain and wind we have a lovely sunny bright day here! It gives a great view of the tents on the field opposite  Still no idea what happened, nothing on the news or websites but they don't put those tents up for nothing. Anyway things jog along as normal, we need a Morrison's shop, Becky has a day off so is bathing the dogs while we're out. Then telly saved on the player to watch....I'd really like to know what happened on there, but I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later - it's a bit too close to home for comfort, especially as I have always felt very safe here before :?

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning friends.

It's quite a pleasant sunny morning here, and we're off for a walk into town soon,
for a bit of shopping for odds and ends.

Have a good day everyone.

Good afternoon everybody.
Got home as Ally was posting after our cruise round the Caribbean.
We were lucky as we left JFK airport on Friday evening 22nd January just before the snow storm arrived. Several passengers never arrived as they should have flown out early on Saturday morning.
Had lots of sunshine with temperatures of over 80F.
Still unpacking and looking at emails.

We did some more planting of stuff, in the bank opposite the front door, the other side of all that weeding I did the other week

Then we both sat on cushions, by the tin hut and weeded the gravel for almost 2 hours.

I had to take my jumper off - show off my t-shirt to the sun - as it got really hot.

Glad you enjoyed yourself Cruiser :D
